Santosha is the second Niyama (self observance) in Pantanjali’s Yoga Sutras.  It means contentment.  Being happy and accepting where you are RIGHT NOW.  Being comfortable in your own skin. Accepting the present.  Embracing the present.  In Yoga Mala, Pattabhi Jois states “Keeping the mind focused in a single direction, always being happy, and never feeling regret for any reason, this is contentment known as santosha”.

Have you ever said to yourself, “I’ll be happy when…” Santosha means being happy or finding contentment in the present moment.
